In medical field also the digital X-ray applications have contributed a lot. The most important component of digital imaging system is X-Ray sensor. Solid state sensor materials are used as X-ray sensors, like lead iodide, Zinc Sulphide, Titanium dioxide and Mercuric idodide, etc. Mercury Iodide has some favourable properties which make it most suitable material for X-Ray sensor. In present study, polymer composites of Mercury Iodide were prepared using polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) at room temperature. Studies revealed that Mercury Iodide - PVA sheets show a stable detection of X-rays for all concentrations and the value of (Imax-Imin) increases with increase in the concentration of Mercury iodide to 32 %, and after concentration of 61 % value of (Imax-Imin) starts decreasing. An optimized range of concentration is worked out (32 % to 61%) at which the maximum value of photocurrent is obtained. X-ray switching studies conducted on these sheets show low rise and fall time making the material good for imaging applications. 摘要

科技几乎改变了现代生活的方方面面,数字设备在每个领域都占有重要的地位。在医学领域,数字x射线的应用也做出了很大的贡献。数字成像系统中最重要的部件是x射线传感器。x射线传感器采用固态传感器材料,如碘化铅、硫化锌、二氧化钛、碘化汞等。碘化汞的一些优良特性使其成为x射线传感器的最合适材料。本研究以聚乙烯醇(PVA)为原料,在室温下制备了碘化汞聚合物复合材料。研究表明,碘化汞- PVA片材在所有浓度下均表现出稳定的x射线检测,(Imax-Imin)值随碘化汞浓度增加至32%而增加,浓度达到61%后(Imax-Imin)值开始下降。计算出最佳浓度范围(32% ~ 61%),在此浓度范围内光电流达到最大值。在这些薄片上进行的x射线开关研究表明,低上升和下降时间使材料适合成像应用。当浓度为32.2%时,脉冲时间大于等于2s时,浓度上升时间为0.99。
