Determination of optimal location and power output, is the essential phase in the operation of a wind power plant. In this paper, a smart grid is considered. Then, the optimal operation of a wind power plant in the electricity market will be explained. This issue is described by viewpoint of wind and pumped-storage power plants, distribution utility, and global operation. For solution of this problem, a pumped-storage power plant is used to help generation of the wind power plant. Also, by using Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs) algorithm, loads are estimated. To demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method, the Spanish wind farm's practical data has been used.
