This paper begins with clarifying the theories of pragmatic competence and pragmatic failure by referring to other linguists’ explanations. 语用能力是交际能力不可或缺的要素,也是核心素养的目标之一。普通高中英语课程标准》中核心素养概念的提出,更加强调学生语用能力的培养和教师在英语教学中语用知识的输入。本文首先通过参考其他语言学家的解释,阐明了语用能力和语用失效的理论。然后,简要论述了高中英语课堂语用教学的重要性。最后,本文提出了一些可行的教学策略,以促进高中生语用能力的提高。
