A IMPORTÂNCIA DO PIM PARA PRESERVAÇÃO DA FLORESTA AMAZÔNICA
Introduction: corporate sustainability is not only a matter of adapting to market needs, but a determinant of the replacement of corporations in the midst of the competitive market and of survival in the midst of adversity. The Covid-19 pandemic was and is being another challenge for corporations that have had a very short time to adapt to sudden changes. Objective: to survey and analyze Circular Economy (EC) practices in the post-pandemic business scenario with a focus on a technological waste company installed in Manaus. Methodology: this is a qualitative, exploratory and descriptive research, with application of a questionnaire, bibliography and documents with data and content analysis. Results: We already have a well-organized legislation to direct the process, but we still have a lot to improve in terms of the greater availability of collection points and in relation to the awareness and environmental education of the population. The practices of the company Descarte Correto contribute to the reduction of regional poverty in order to give opportunities to the beneficiaries for a replacement in the job market and a fair and guaranteed income, as it transforms electronic waste into economic and socio-environmental benefits. Conclusion: the activity developed by the company Descarte Correto gained even more relevance in the context of the pandemic and there was an expansion of its activities in order to attend to traditional classes outside the classroom and work activities in the domestic environment. We already have a self-organized legislation (National Solid Waste Policy) to guide the process, but we still have a lot to improve in terms of greater availability of collection points and in relation to the population's environmental awareness and education.
