High sensitivity long-period fiber gratings written in tapered fibers by CO2 laser
We demonstrated the fabrication of long-period fiber gratings in the tapered fibers using CO2 laser. The sensing response of the gratings was investigated experimentally. Highly sensitive wavelength tuning was achieved with the polymer packaged grating.
