Principal components analysis for tracking of facial features
A new method of tracking the position of important facial features in 'head-and-shoulders' sequences is presented for low bit-rate wireless communication. The initial part of the analysed sequence is decomposed into sub-images containing important facial features. Tracking of the facial features in subsequent frames is based on this set of sub-images.
