The mathematical modeling and derivation of the parameters of the PV array using an analytical and iterative procedure is discussed. The PV array is interfaced to a three-phase grid using a sinusoidal pulse width modulated voltage source converter with maximum power point tracking. A decoupled dq current control strategy is used to control the real and reactive power exchanged between the PV system and the grid.
