The repair of the failed unit and creation/updation of redo log files are also done by the DBA. The system is analysed using semi-Markov process and regenerative point technique. Mathematical expressions for various performance measures of the system have been obtained along with cost-benefit analysis of the system. Numerical analysis has been done to validate the derived results. 摘要

建立了由一个主机组和一个热备机组组成的双机热备数据库系统的随机模型。主单元作为生产单元,通过在线传输归档重做日志与热备单元同步。保存在主设备中的数据同时存储在热备设备中。考虑了主数据库的不同故障模式。为了避免数据丢失,数据库管理员(DBA)对备用单元进行随机检查,以查看是否在备用单元中创建/更新了重做日志文件。故障单元的修复和重做日志文件的创建/更新也由DBA完成。利用半马尔可夫过程和再生点技术对系统进行了分析。得到了系统各项性能指标的数学表达式,并对系统进行了成本效益分析。数值分析验证了所得结果。还得到了各参数对系统盈利能力的取值范围。
