Now-a-days PV based water pumping system is increasingly used for irrigation purpose in India. In this paper, the boost converter steps up the voltage produced by the PV array for smooth running of a separately excited DC motor which then drives the Centrifugal Pump and the movement of fluid by the centrifugal pump is applied to the hydraulic system after regulated by sine wave controller. The Experimental performance presented provide the utility of such a drive system. A proper designing of directly coupled solar water pumping system powered from solar panels, DC to DC Boost converter, separately excited wound DC motor and centrifugal pump with hydraulic system in cascaded is presented.
