Evaluation of different Vector Control methds for Electric Vehicle Application
This paper presents the application of three different vector control methods DTC, DTC-SVM and FOC for automobile application. A general description of each of the vector control methods and it’s working has been presented. Each of the vector control methods are subjected to a variable drive cycle to test its performance and efficiency with a 37 kW induction motor. The control strategies are modeled in MATLAB/Simulink and the results have been evaluated. The simulation is further carried out in Hardware-in-the-loop to analyze the performance of the system in real time.
