On Grid Techno- Economic Evaluation of pv/wind Hybrid system for A Compound building: Simulation Study
This study aimed to design and sizing a compound building includes a motel, gas station, and a mosuqe as case study located at Teka town 35km from the west of Libya, Benghazi. The loads were estimated virtually based on 24 hours of working hour. Load total load of electric application for [motel, mosque, and gas station] were found to be 18.3 kW. A hybrid system designing of the proposed compound building was carried out. The economic analysis of the hybrid system was taken in our consideration. At the same time, the wining scenario which produce less CO2 emissions to preserve the environment was evaluated. In order to achieve the aims of this study, three different gird’s tariff scenarios, ranges between (A=20, B=25, and C= 30 cents) were simulated. From the obtained results we can conclude that the wining case has the lowest NPC and COE. Therefore, scenario (A) was the cheapest configuration for 25 years of the project life cycle among the other scenarios which has 1kw wind turbines with solar energy of 15. 1kw.This configuration has COE of 0.149 USD/kWh and NPC value of 79,803 USD when Grid sales tariff is 20 cents/ KWh.
