Heat exchangers play a crucial role in waste heat recovery from engine exhaust. In this study, a numerical simulation was carried out to investigate the performance of counter shell and tube heat exchanger with and without inner fin geometry. A CFD analysis showed that the addition of inner fins in heat exchanger improved the heat transfer performance of heat exchanger.
