Students seem to have difficulty in understanding the basic concepts of a digital systems from the lectures, tutorial classes and reference books. Based on an initial survey, it is found that most students are visual learners who can learn effectively through visual aids. One of the popular visual aids among the students nowadays is video. They would prefer to look for video from the Internet that discusses on the subject matter. However, they still have difficulty in understanding the contents probably due to the language accent and the depth of the contents. Thus, this paper proposed a custom made video lecture series which are based on the lectures given in the class. The survey on students' satisfaction is carried out and performance of the students is compared to gauge the effectiveness of this approach. The feedback from the students show that they enjoy referring to the lecture video which could enhance their understanding.
