Parajapyx giecuevasae, n. sp.是菲律宾首个拟贾蝇科成员，也是菲律宾报道的第二种拟贾蝇，描述于拉古纳马岭山。它不同于其他的副japyx物种，具有以下特征的组合:下颌骨有五颗牙齿和三根小齿;有2+1刚毛的积膜;赤铁矿X有12+1+12粗刚毛和10+1+10正刚毛;尾下器官有4具伴生刚毛，9具腺刚毛，5具感觉刚毛。
