Project learning is carried out to increase scientific literacy and achieve sustainable development. This study aims to describe the scientific literacy profile of vocational students in the application of green chemistry-based electroplating learning projects. The principles of green chemistry raised in the electroplating project are the use of safe chemicals, the use of green solvents, and waste prevention. The research method used was a descriptive analysis. The research subjects were 27 students from the Industrial Mechanics Engineering program in the Department of Technology and Engineering at a Vocational School in the city of Cimahi for the 2022-2023 Academic Year, selected using the convenience sampling technique. Data collection techniques were carried out using 20 scientific literacy test instrument questions with four answer choices that have been validated and tested for reliability. Data analysis was carried out by paired t-test on pretest and posttest values using the Microsoft Excel program. 摘要

科学素养是教育人员应对21世纪挑战的主要关键之一,21世纪的挑战将继续经历全球变化。开展项目学习,提高科学素养,实现可持续发展。本研究旨在描述高职学生在绿色化学电镀学习项目应用中的科学素养概况。在电镀项目中提出的绿色化学原则是使用安全化学品、使用绿色溶剂、防止浪费。使用的研究方法是描述性分析。研究对象为西马希市一所职业学校2022-2023学年技术与工程系工业机械工程专业的27名学生,采用方便抽样法选择。数据收集技术使用了20个科学素养测试工具问题,其中有四个答案选择,这些问题已经过验证和可靠性测试。数据分析采用Microsoft Excel程序对前测值和后测值进行配对t检验。SMK学生在科学知识领域的科学素养概况为低,占48%,科学能力领域为中等,占66%,态度领域为中等,占63%。

期刊介绍: Orbital: The Electronic Journal of Chemistry is a quarterly scientific journal published by the Institute of Chemistry of the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Original contributions (in English) are welcome, which focus on all areas of Chemistry and their interfaces with Pharmacy, Biology, and Physics. Neither authors nor readers have to pay fees. The journal has an editorial team of scientists drawn from regions throughout Brazil and world, ensuring high standards for the texts published.
