First record of Diaptomus zografi (Copepoda: Calanoida) from Russia in a century

The calanoid copepod species Diaptomus zografi Korchagin, 1887 is recorded from the East European Plain (Middle Volga Region, Russia) for the first time since the year 1925. A brief redescription and illustrations of the species are provided, and some precise details in its morphology are revealed.
