Pressure Transient Analysis of a Vertical Well with Multiple Etched Fractures in Carbonate Reservoirs
In this paper, a new mathematical model of unsteady flow of a naturally fractured porous medium is presented,in which artificial fractures intersecting a vertical well and three different geometries of pore blocks containing plates, cylinders and spheres were considered. A new solution was obtained using the Laplace transform and an integral approach using the point source function. A polar coordinate transformation was used to process the radial distribution of an arbitrary number of cracks and angle. The model was then tested against three published cases.
