The object and place of this Contest are discussed in the Nebraska Experiment Station Circular No. 7, issued June 1919. We wish the Poultry Department of Nebraska every success in their new venture.</p><p>Another activity of this Nebraska Department will be the establishment of a branch poultry farm at the North Platte Substation in the western central part of the state. One thousand birds representative of the five most popular varieties in this section will be used for demonstration work at the North Platte Substation. The five varieties which will be maintained are—Single Comb Rhode Island Red, Single Comb White Leghorn, Barred Plymouth Rock, Buff Orpington and White Wyandotte.
