The findings highlight the need for further research in areas such as peer-to-peer payment, MPS adoption in lower-income countries, MPS discontinuance behavior, socioeconomic impact, and consumer privacy issues. Additionally, the study suggests expanding the scope of MPS research to include emerging mobile payment options like buy now pay later and facial recognition payment system (FRPS).
