Previously, the genus Conilia Gerlach, 1956 was known from Santos Beach, South Japan, East China Sea and Korea. The genus Corononema Nicholas and Stewart, 1995 was known only from Australia and Thailand and very recently reported from off the coast of Vietnam. Both the genera are being reported for the first time from India.
