In this study, we have experimentally demonstrated the coexistence of emission-detection in III-nitride MQW diodes and established an optical-based wireless audio communication system. When the bias voltage is greater than the turn-on voltage and the device is simultaneously illuminated, III-nitride MQW diodes can achieve both light emission and detection.
