Guidelines for conducting quantitative systematic review studies
Research processes are built at different levels, from the exploratory or descriptive to the explanatory level. In the exploratory and descriptive scope, quantitative systematic review studies arise, which allow the identification of characteristics of a line of research through the analysis of previous publications. This article proposes a guide for the elaboration of this type of work, in which we propose important aspects such as the formulation of research questions, the search for information in scientific databases, the statistical analysis of data, the formulation of research questions, among other important topics. The work closes by highlighting the importance of quantitative systematic review research and its contribution to the identification and description of the elements that can encompass a line of research.
