The factors contributing to the success of the model-informed drug development program under PDUFA VI were discussed. The generic drug industry shared that decisions on formulation candidate/formulation variant selection, on pilot in vivo bioavailability studies, and on alternative study designs for BE assessment are informed by modeling and simulation approaches.
