Message from the President\'s Desk

World over the channel of comminication has changed rapidly during the last decade.The journey from snail mail to e-mail has changed the way we communicate.We at NICOA have always been keeping pace with the changing times and the hosting of our website is a further step in that direction.It also fulfis the long pending demand of our members across the country and we are happy that the committment made in the Nagpur AGM has been kept. While I take the opportunity to specially congratulate the NICOA Team for their sustained efforts in increasing our communication, I would like to stress that in the changing scenario,the role of association needs some finetuning as well.This is of utmost importance especially in the backdrop of an unenthusiastic management embarking on a mega transformation exercise under the name of Business Process Re-engineering(BPR).On the other hand,lack of any concrete action on the pending issues as also an attitude of indifference, if not contempt, raise our doubts about their intentions. No association,however,can afford to be a mute spectator to the changing scenario.We have to seize the opportunity, act with speed and synchronize our activities.With immense talent amongst us, eventually we shall emerge victorious.
