Species of the Genus Bibio Geoffroy, 1762 (Diptera, Bibionidae) of the Russian Fauna with a Black Body and Darkened Wings
Abstract
The new species Bibio takhtakarachensissp. n. is described from the mountains of Uzbekistan. It is characterized by a completely black body and darkened wings of the male. The new species is compared with the externally similar congeners from northern Iran and the Far East: B. alborzensis Krivosheina, B. arboricola Krivosheina, B. japonicus Motschulsky, and B. matsumurai Okada.
