The plant needs special consideration for development and research of unidentified compound and characterization of novel active molecules that overcome multiple pathological abnormalities. The genus Manilkara contains 135 plants around the world. This overview discusses all the virtues of most important and commonly used plant <i>Manilkara zapota</i> (L.) P. Royen (<i>M. zapota</i>), also known as Sapodilla.
