The research on seismic resilience of hospitals is not limited to the structural safety of hospitals, but focus more on the seismic performance of non-structural componentsand medical equipment within hospitals, as well as quantification and rapidly recover of hospital functions after earth-quakes. The paper explored the connotation, theoretical framework, and modeling methods of hospital resilience from engineering dimension. By reviewing the progress of hospital resilience research at home and a-broadd, the connections and distinctions among relevant concepts of hospital resilience were analyzed, and qualitative and quantitative methods for assessing hospital resilience were summarized.
