This includes potential touches of more than two patch boundary segments in the same location, an eventuality that has not been excluded previously and presents nontrivial complications (in fact, if we do a priori exclude it, then our results extend to all <math display=\"inline\" xmlns=\"http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML\"><mi>α</mi>\n<mo>∈</mo>\n<mo stretchy=\"false\">(</mo><mn>0</mn><mo>,</mo><mn>1</mn><mo stretchy=\"false\">)</mo></math>).
