Each entity has unique obstacles and opportunities inherent in their business model and organizational culture. Attempts to position Lifestyle Medicine as a fundamental means for reshaping healthcare sometimes fall flat despite the value of the requests. Advance preparation including strategic planning and a well-designed approach can make the difference by addressing barriers and opening doors. Each business case will be unique, but there are critical elements that should be common to every strategic plan. We can identify foundational tactics to substantiate the need for integration of Lifestyle Medicine as a critical part of healthcare institutions and their financial plans.
