The amorphous nature of the glasses was confirmed by the absence of sharp diffraction peaks in the XRD profile. In the visible emission spectra blue, yellow, and red bands were observed and the intensity of the yellow band was superior. Furthermore, the samples show a luminescence quenching beyond 20 mol.% of B<sub>2</sub>O<sub>3</sub> concentration.
