This puzzle is gradually being solved, thanks in part to the advent of new technologies. Among these, innovative genome-labeling techniques combined with high-resolution imaging methods have been pivotal. These methods facilitate the visualization of DNA within intact nuclei and have significantly contributed to our current understanding of genome organization.
