Talking Fieldwork with Rebekka King

Bulletin Editor, Richard Newton, and Editorial Assistant, Stephen Heaton sat down with Rebekka King. King is Professor of Religious Studies at Middle Tennessee State University and faculty resident at MTSU’s Honors College. We learned about Rebekka’s work in the anthropology of Christianity, her recent book, The New Heretics: Skepticism, Secularism, and Progressive Christianity (NYU Press, 2023), and her tenure as president of the North American Association for the Study of Religion (2021–2023).
