Following allometric scaling of the 5th percentile of the distribution of NO(A)ELs from available chronic toxicology studies, it was reconfirmed that there is a safety basis for the 1 mg/day qualification threshold in ICH Q3A. Additionally, allometric scaling of the 5th percentile of the distribution of NO(A)ELs from sub-acute and sub-chronic toxicology studies could support acceptable limits of 20 and 5 mg/day for an unqualified <span>NMI</span> for dosing durations of less than or greater than one month, respectively.
