Further, studying the impact of racial discrimination may require an eclectic use of theories and the incorporation of community voices.</p><p><strong>Conclusions: </strong>We recommend collecting measures of racism whenever possible, disaggregating race into ethnic groups and intersections of identities, engaging with communities to clarify concepts and select appropriate measures, and disseminating findings with opportunities for communities to speak and for researchers to listen.
