Here, we review existing biomedical literature to provide information about EHS in the context of motivation as a risk factor and then discuss five cases of EHS treated at Martin Army Community Hospital at Fort Moore, GA, from 2020 to 2022. In our discussion of the cases, we explore the influence of motivation on each occurrence.
