Blood samples and kidney tissues were collected and used for biochemical assays. AKBA and IA not only significantly decreased interleukin-6 as a marker of renal inflammation but also attenuated the oxidative stress markers in kidney tissues. AKBA and IA also remarkably decreased serum creatinine and blood urea nitrogen. Boswellia serrata has been used in traditional medicine to treat various inflammatory diseases.
