Strong evidence supports an association between CPPD and several metabolic and endocrine conditions, including hemochromatosis, hyperparathyroidism, hypomagnesemia, and hypophosphatasia. Additionally, there is growing evidence of an increased risk for cardiovascular diseases among CPPD patients, alongside potential links to rheumatic disorders, gender, medications, and joint trauma.
