International Students in Counselor Education Programs: A 20-Year Content Analysis

With the increasing number of international students in counselor education programs, a content analysis of literature on international counseling students was conducted to grasp publication patterns about international counseling students in the last 20 years (2004 to 2023). The authors analyzed 59 published articles and dissertations regarding the journals that published on this topic, trends of publications, characteristics of international students that have been included, methodologies that have been used, and topics that have been addressed.
