A systematic search on Web of Science, PubMed, and SciELO databases was carried out using the keywords “Electron Spin Resonance Dating” OR “Electron Paramagnetic Resonance Dating” OR “ESR Dating\n” OR “EPR Dating” AND shell, resulting in 88 articles. After application of exclusion criteria, 28 articles were selected to be analyzed in relation to the experimental procedures adopted to obtain the ages.
