Operation Modes of Johann Spectrometers

A detailed analysis of regimes of operation of Johann spectrometers is presented for the point-like and extended sources. It is recommended to be carried out for the experiments on determination of plasma parameters from relative intensities of X-ray lines. The analysis is aimed at improving X-ray spectroscopy methods.
