Cyclometallated platinum(II) complexes with the general formula [Pt(Рpy)(CNR)2]X (HРpy = 2‑phenylpyridine; R = iPr, tBu, Cy; X = BF4, OTf, PF6) containing various alkylisocyanide ligands and counterions are synthesized.
