Using standard keywords, the databases Scopus, PubMed, Embase, Web of Science databases, and Google Scholar were searched from inception to December 2024. Based on our finding, glucomannan significantly reduced total cholesterol (TC) (SMD: -2.26; 95% CI: -2.98, -1.55, p <0.001), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) levels (SMD: -2.57; 95% CI: -3.41, -1.74; p<0.001), but not effect on high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) (SMD: -0.33; 95% CI: -0.70, 0.03, p=0.075), and triglyceride (TG) (SMD: -0.16; 95% CI: -0.59, 0.27, p =0.473). However, these significant decreases are not clinically important.
