肛门癌虽然罕见，但发病率却逐年上升，主要是鳞状细胞癌（SCC）。预防策略主要围绕减少人类乳头瘤病毒（HPV）感染、人类免疫缺陷病毒/获得性免疫缺陷综合征、免疫抑制、吸烟和高危性行为等风险因素，同时提倡接种 HPV 疫苗。肛门癌-HSIL 结果研究试验验证了治疗肛门高级别鳞状上皮内病变可遏制 SCC 的发展。筛查方法包括数字肛门直肠检查、肛门巴氏涂片、HPV 检测和高分辨率肛门镜检查。然而，目前还缺乏标准化的筛查指南，因此今后有必要简化筛查方案，提高公众对肛门癌的认识。
