Familiarity with healthcare team members, often resulting from being co-located to the same units, created a comfortable work environment, advanced patient care, and accelerated workflow. Physicians preferred in-person communication with interprofessional colleagues over technology-based communicationand described how in-person interactions enriched subsequent technology-led interactions.
