摘要

Objective: This study aimed to explore the association between disclosure of one's sexual orientation in different social contexts and mental health outcomes among LGB individuals.

Methods: This study used a nationwide sample of 7867 LGB individuals in the mainland of China.

Results: Findings revealed that the disclosure process was associated with positive consequences in several specific contexts such as schools, workplaces, and close friendships, but not in the family context. Bisexual individuals were less likely to be influenced by the disclosure process.
