This narrative review provides a comprehensive overview of complications in interventional radiology (IR), focusing on their aetiology, recognition, and management. As IR procedures continue to evolve and expand, understanding potential adverse events is crucial for improving patient safety and outcomes. The review will summarise various common complications associated with IR-based procedures, including their presentation, aetiology, and management. By consolidating current knowledge on these issues, the review offers valuable insights into minimising risks and enhancing procedural success.
