Acne is estimated to affect approximately 85% of adolescents and is associated with negative mental health outcomes, including suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, and depression. As such, knowledgeable and culturally informed care of acne in TGD adolescents has important implications for quality of life for patients who desire effective treatment.
