The volume activity (VA) of <sup>137</sup>Cs and <sup>90</sup>Sr in the surface layer of the atmosphere in the Mayak surveillance zone is lower than the limits prescribed by the sanitary regulations by 6–7 orders of magnitude, and the VA of <sup>239,240</sup>Pu and <sup>238</sup>Pu is lower by 3–5 orders of magnitude. The results of monitoring the contamination of air, soil, and plants in the region of location of the Mayak Production Association with 137Cs, 90Sr, and plutonium isotopes (239,240Pu and 238Pu), obtained in 2023 by specialists of Mayak and of the Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of Russia, are reported.
