Then the carbonation rate of precipitated calcium carbonate in the carbonation process can be calculated by the ratio (γ) of carbon dioxide to oxygen based on a new mathematical model. The results showed that the employed method has good precision (the relative standard deviation < 5 %) and accuracy under the optimized equilibrium temperature and time (60 °C and 10 min).
