Compact and Wideband Rectifier Using a Multi-Stage Type Matching Circuit for Microwave Wireless Power Transmission System
This paper proposes a compact microwave rectifier achieving a fractional bandwidth of 162.7% using a double-voltage rectification circuit. The impedance matching section was designed with lumped elements for miniaturization of the circuit. Moreover, the circuit configuration of the impedance matching section was multi-stage matching to realize the wideband characteristic. Theoretically, this wideband performance was achieved by reducing the impedance conversion ratio of the L-shaped circuit and shortening the impedance locus. The measured frequency bandwidth where the RF-DC conversion efficiency exceeds 50% was from 1.1 GHz to 10.7 GHz while the DC load resistance of 200 Ω, achieving a fractional bandwidth of 162.7%.
